Apple revamps the iPad mini, gives the iPad 10.2 new chipset and front camera 
Apple kicked off its hardware announcements today with iPads. Both the entry-level iPad 10.2 and iPad mini got new versions.
iPad 10.2 (2021)
The new 10.2-inch iPad is powered by the A13 Bionic promising 20% performance boost over the A12 Bionic in last year’s model. The display size and bezels remain the same, but on the upside that means retained compatibility with accessories for the previous iPad 10.2, including the first gen Apple Pencil. And Apple did add the TrueTone feature to its entry-level tablet.

In the latest big tech legal fiasco, Google was fined KRW 207.4 billion ($177million/€150 million) by The Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) in South Korea. The reasoning behind the sanction is the Android maker’s anti-fragmentation agreement (AFA) which required OEMs like Samsung and LG to sign an agreement with Google before gaining access to use Android OS on their devices. This in turn prohibited said OEMs to install modified versions of Android that aren’t explicitly approved by Google on their devices.
Active Edge – launching the Google Assistant by squeezing the phone – was introduced with the Pixel 2 and was present on the 3 and 4 as well. But then it was cut from the Pixel 5, which introduced an unrelated feature dubbed Battery Share (i.e. reverse wireless charging).
