Weekly poll results: zoom cameras need to start at 3x at least, variable focal length is preferred Last week we asked you about your ideal zoom camera setup and the poll makes it pretty clear that continuous zoom lenses are the future. Fixed focal lengths work well enough for the main and ultrawide modules since they often have high resolution sensors (on flagships, at least), allowing them to crop in if an intermediate zoom level is required.

A continuous zoom lens will give you the flexibility to frame your shot as you want it without having to “zoom with your feet” (which isn’t always possible). The question now is what range should the lens cover?

Oppo F19s launch imminent as it bags Bluetooth certification Oppo introduced the F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ 5G in March and unveiled the F19 in April. The company is rumored to further expand the F19 lineup with the F19s, which has been certified by Bluetooth SIG, suggesting an imminent launch.

The certifying authority doesn’t tell us anything about the F19s besides revealing its model code (CPH2223) and confirming Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. But, a previous leak claimed the F19s will launch in India soon at around INR18,000 ($245/€210) with a Snapdragon 662 SoC under the hood.

Huawei schedules a new product launch event for October 21 Huawei has scheduled a new product launch event for October 21 in Vienna, which will start at 3PM CET and will be hosted by Mr. Derek Yu – President, Central Eastern Europe, Nordic and Canada, Huawei Consumer Business Group.

OnePlus Buds Z2 to launch next month, renders surface OnePlus introduced the Buds Z TWS earphones last October, and the company will follow up with its successor – dubbed OnePlus Buds Z2 – next month.

Word comes from leakster OnLeaks, who also shared a few renders of the OnePlus Buds Z2, revealing their design.

The Buds Z2 look similar to their predecessor, but the ear tips are slightly angled this time. We also see some sensors on the buds, which could be used for wear detection – a feature that wasn’t present on the original Buds Z.
