Upcoming iQOO 8 to pack Samsung E5 screen, company confirms

The iQOO 8 series will be launched on August 17, and today vivo’s brand revealed spicy details regarding the screen. The panel, rumored to be 6.78” in diagonal, will be a Samsung E5 LTPO display with translucent material in the area where the front-facing camera will be.

This means we’re not going to see a fully-fledged under-display selfie camera; more likely vivo found a way to make the camera even less visually obtrusive.

Android 11 comes to Nokia 5.3

HMD is finally seeding Android 11 to its Nokia 5.3 smartphone nearly a year after the phone’s announcement and only about a month before Android 12 rolls around.

The first wave of countries to receive the update include Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan and Vietnam. Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro still tops AnTuTu’s chart in July

AnTuTu has released its monthly performance charts, of the fastest benchmarked smartphones on its platform, and for a fifth consecutive month the Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro topped the sheet. We also see that all Top 10 devices were powered by the Snapdragon 888.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch4 will support both Bixby and the Google Assistant

The upcoming Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic will be the first Samsung watches to run Google’s wrist-worn OS in a long time. And you know what that means – Google services and apps will be on board, the ones that were missing from the Tizen watches.

Honor Magic3 appears on AnTuTu, revealing key specs

The Honor Magic3 arriving on August 12 was spotted on Geekbench yesterday with a Snapdragon 888+ SoC, 8GB RAM, and Android 11. Now it has appeared on AnTuTu as well, but with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and a few more specs.

The benchmark database reveals that the Magic3 will have 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage onboard and its screen will have a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it doesn’t mention the panel’s type, resolution, or diagonal.

Talking about the performance, the Magic3 scored 749,223 points in AnTuTu’s test, which is less than what the Snapdragon 888-powered smartphones achieved in our tests….

Lenovo P12 Pro with Snapdragon 855 chipset appears on the Google Play Console

A month ago Lenovo launched the Yoga Tab 13, Yoga Tab 11 and Tab P11 Plus with global availability. Now clues have appeared of another slate, a sequel to the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro from last year. Unlike the first three, which have IPS LCDs, the P11 Pro has an 11.5” OLED display. However, despite its “Pro” moniker it is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 730G chipset.
