Today Oppo introduced its new under-display camera technology, two years after building its first working prototype. The company worked a lot to improve the quality of the screen on top and the image quality of the camera itself, resulting in product far more suited for comercial products.

Xiaomi confirms Mi Mix 4 will launch on August 10, check out the under display camera

This morning, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Mi Mix 4 will be launched on August 10 in China. The company posted a teaser to its Weibo page with the save-the-date. The event will take place next Tuesday and 7:30PM local time.

Sadly, the teaser does not include any photos of the hardware. Recent TENAA filings revealed the device will come with model number 2106118C and equips 8/12GB of RAM with up to 256GB of internal storage.

WhatsApp gets “View Once” photos and videos

Today, WhatsApp is rolling out a new disappearing feature for photos and videos. Users can send ‘View Once’ photos and videos through the messaging app and the recipient will only be able to see it once.

The feature was actually being tested as early as late June.

For example, you might send a View Once photo of some new clothes you’re trying on at a store, a quick reaction to a moment in time, or something sensitive like a Wi-Fi password.

The way it works feels a lot like it does on Instagram. The recipient needs to tap the “Photo” or “Video” button to see the image or video….

If you take into account the fact that leaked renders of the buds (like the ones below) have also been outed countless times, correct us if we’re wrong, but we think this means Samsung has literally nothing left to announce next week – at least on the Buds2 front.
