YouTube Premium Lite available in several European countries

A new tier of YouTube Premium is now available to select European users in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. YouTube Premium Lite costs €6,99 per month compared to €11,99 for the regular Premium version and offers one single functionality – ad-free viewing on mobile, desktop, smart TVs and consoles. You also get no ads in the YouTube Kids app.

Asus Zenfone 8 beats Galaxy S21 in DxOMark camera review, can’t quite match the iPhone 12 mini

If you prefer smaller smartphones, you have probably looked at the Asus Zenfone 8 as an option for your next purchase. Like the iPhone 12 mini it has a wide and ultra wide cameras (with OIS on the main module), but it lacks a telephoto lens. These two received similar scores in DxOMark’s camera review too – 120 for the Zenfone and 122 for the iPhone. Or if you prefer to stay in Android land, the Galaxy S21 (which is larger than both) scored 119. The Pixel 5 also got 120.

Honor Magic 3 to have five cameras, gets leaked by CEO

The Honor Magic 3 is expected to arrive on August 12, and today the CEO has teased the smartphone, revealing the camera design, at least partially. George Zhao has demoed the AI capabilities we should expect from the Magic 3 with a device that has five cameras in an M-formation.

The phone is in a pre-production case that is aiming to hide the general design, but we can still five circles for the camera setup (and not a single square for a periscope lens), a microphone for audio zoom features, dual-LED flash on the bottom, and another one on the top.

The Redmi Note 10 Japan Edition is the first in the series with a Snapdragon 480 and IP68 rating

You didn’t think you’ve seen the last of the Redmi Note 10 series, did you? Here’s a new model – the Redmi Note 10 JE, which stands for “Japan Edition”. This phone is Xiaomi’s first with a Snapdragon 480 chipset and will be sold through carrier au.

The Note 10 series uses an assortment of chipsets – Snapdragons (700 and 600 series), Dimensity chips (1100 and 700), Helio G95 too. The Snapdragon 480 sits lower in the food chain than the typical chipset used in the series, but it does have 5G and a modest price tag, which seems to be the point.

Realme MagDart magnetic charging shown on video

Realme has stirred things up with its upcoming MagDart magnetic wireless charging solution and Realme Flash smartphone. The pair is expected to debut tomorrow but ahead of the big announcement, the folks over at XDA Developers have managed to provide us with a look at both the Realme Flash and its MagDart charger.

The brief demo shows us a quick charge which tops up the phone from 18 to 25% in just three minutes. A full 0-100% charge is said to take less than an hour. There’s a satisfying click in the beginning and we can also immediately hear the fan inside ramping up.

Tecno Pova 2 launched in India

Exactly one month after it was initially launched in the Phillippines, Tecno Pova 2 was introduced to the Indian market. Pricing is set at INR 10,499 ($141) for the 4/64GB trim while the 6/128GB model will sell for INR 12,499 ($168). The device will be available in black, silver and blue colors from August 5 via Amazon India.
