AT&T Motorola RAZR 5G updated to Android 11

We received a tip that AT&T’s Motorola RAZR (2020) 5G has been updated to Android 11 via the June security patch. Our tipper sent us a screenshot confirming the Android version on his device is indeed 11.

Granted, most other regions have already been receiving the OTA update to Android 11 back in April, but US carrier editions normally tend to lag behind unlocked devices.

US FTC votes to enact new policies to restore Right to Repair

Back in May, it was reported that the US FTC acknowledged that companies anti-repair tactics were hurting small businesses and consumers. Today, the US FTC announces that it has unanimously voted to crack down on offending companies that purposefully make third-party repairs on products very difficult outside of its own repair network.

Samsung has officially announced the fact that it’s launching the Galaxy A22 5G in India on July 23. The 4G version is already available in the subcontinent, and the A22 5G was initially unveiled at the beginning of June.

Aside from the 5G support, the phone has a 6.6-inch 1080×2400 90 Hz TFT screen, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset at the helm, 4/6/8GB of RAM, 64/128GB of expandable storage, a triple rear camera system (48 MP main, 5 MP ultrawide, 2 MP depth), an 8 MP selfie snapper, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging. It runs Android 11 with One UI Core 3.1 on top.

Samsung is testing new, faster 65W wired charging solution and it looks like it will be ready in time for the Galaxy S22 series in early 2022.

The information comes from tipster Tron, who’s got a decent track record. Rainbow is the codename for the Galaxy S22 series, with R being the vanilla model, G the Plus and B the Ultra.
