The Oppo Reno6 Z 5G is coming on July 21, but before that it popped up on Geekbench confirming a few bits about its internals. It is powered by the Dimensity 800U SoC and runs Android 11.

The Reno6 Z 5G has 8GB RAM onboard, but there could be other memory options as well to choose from. However, it’s unclear if the smartphone will come with the virtual RAM expansion feature like the Reno6 Pro 5G launching in India next Wednesday.

Next-year iPad Pro 11 also to come with mini-LED display

Apple launched the 2021 iPad Pro tablets back in April, and the 12.9” variant is the first to come with mini-LED LCD. The technology allows for 1000 nits maximum brightness and enables far more granular local dimming. However the smaller 11” iPad Pro didn’t get the fancy new panel and settled for a conventional LCD.

This will change next year, according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Both the iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 will come with mini-LED in 2022 as per his latest investor note.

Realme X7 Max 5G gets dynamic RAM expansion and June security patch with new update

The Realme X7 Max 5G is receiving a new software update with the Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) feature, which was introduced by Realme on the Narzo 30 5G first.

As evident from the name, DRE lets you expand your smartphone’s RAM virtually by using its internal storage. On the Narzo 30 5G, you can head to the Settings > About phone > RAM menu and add up to 2GB, 3GB, or 5GB of RAM virtually to the smartphone, but since we haven’t received the new build on our unit yet, we can’t confirm how much RAM the X7 Max 5G users will be able to add virtually with the latest update.

LG temporarily suspends plans to sell Apple devices at its Best Shop locations

LG’s plans to sell iPhones at its Best Shop locations have been put on hold after a public outcry from small and medium-sized businesses. The South Korean government has a policy that is meant to shield smaller retailers by keeping giants like Samsung and LG from selling competing products at the stores they own.

The worry is that if they do, these larger retail locations will draw customers away from the smaller ones – and those are already quite vulnerable due to the pandemic.

Tecno Camon 17 family reaches Indian shores this month

The Tecno Camon 17 series were announced a little over a month ago but it’s just now that they reach Indian soil. The series consists of the Tecno Camon 17, 17 Pro and 17P but only the first two will make it to India through Amazon.in.

Upcoming Realme X9 obtains multiple certifications in a clear indication of nearing launch

A new Realme phone (RMX3361) rumored to be part of the X9 series has been spotted in several certification listings. RMX3361 appeared in the databases of TENAA and 3C while Realme X9 Pro (RMX3381) popped up with the EEC revealing some of its key specs.

Realme X9’s TENAA certification reveals a 6.43-inch display, which is expected to be of the AMOLED variety. The phone’s listed dimensions are 159.2 x 73.5 x 8.0mm. The listing also specifies a 2,100 mAh battery capacity which is most likely half of the 4,200 mAh in total.
