Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 keyboard accessory leaks ahead of tablet’s unveiling

There’s been an influx of rumors surrounding Xiaomi’s alleged return to the Android tablet game and now we have a listing of what appears to be a keyboard accessory and stylus pen for the yet to be official Mi Pad 5.

The certification comes courtesy of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and shows several images of the keyboard cover alongside the stylus which has a separate holster built-in on the case. The keyboard does not come with a trackpad and appears to be a bit on the cramped side.

Limited Edition Cobalt OnePlus Watch coming to India

OnePlus is finally bringing its limited-edition Cobalt Watch to India. This version brings a more premium leather band alongside a cobalt alloy casing in place of the stainless steel on the regular model. Pricing starts at INR 19,999 (268) though HDFC Bank credit card owners get INR 1,000 ($13) off. Open sales begin on Jul 16 while pre-orders are open until Julu 10.

LG’s Q2 2021 earnings guidance point to record revenue

LG published its Q2 guidance and it looks great. The company posted its highest ever revenue and unsurprinsgly bested the lockdown-interrupted second quarter of 2020 by around 48.4%.

Operating profit for the period stood at KRW 1.1 trillion (~$967 million), a 65.5% increase year-over-year while the revenue is estimated at KRW 17.1 trillion (~$15 billion). It’s important to note that since LG has shut down its mobile business, it will be excluded from the Q2 reports and will be treated as an operating loss.

The OnePlus Nord 2 will have a custom Dimensity 1200-AI chipset, the company confirms

OnePlus has boarded MediaTek’s Dimensity 5G Open Resource Architecture program, which allowed it to design a custom version of the Dimensity 1200 chipset for the OnePlus Nord 2. It is called the “Dimensity 1200-AI”, which should tell you what kind of customization work was done on the chip.

Realme promises even cheaper 5G phones for India, more Narzo and GT models incoming

While India’s first 5G network is still in the testing phase, Realme has identified 5G as a growing trend – the company quotes Google data that says 5G-related searches have gone up 70% between May 2020 and May this year, YouTube searches are up 115%.

Samsung guidance shows strong increase in profit for Q2 2021

Samsung has issued its quarterly earnings guidance, and the numbers for the April – June 2021 period look promising. Sales have increased 18% on a yearly basis, which isn’t a surprise given the situation last year, but the profit has jumped both on a yearly and on a sequential basis.
