Huawei nova 8i announced with Snapdragon 662, 64MP quad camera, and 66W charging

Huawei’s nova 8 series includes a total of four smartphones – nova 8 5G, nova 8 Pro 4G, nova 8 Pro 5G, and nova 8 SE. That number changes to five today as the company added a new member to the lineup – nova 8i.

The nova 8i sports a 6.67″ FullHD+ LCD touted as an “Edgeless Display” by Huawei, which is surrounded by 1.3mm bezels on the left and right sides, and a 1.35mm bezel on the top. The screen also has a pill-shaped cutout in the upper-left corner housing the 16MP selfie camera.

Poco X3 Pro units in India now seeing limited rollout of MIUI 12.5 update

The Poco X3 Pro units that have been sold in India are now the next in line to get the MIUI 12.5 update. There is already a rollout happening, although a limited one which is pushing the new software to a few devices.

If there are no huge issues discovered, then a wider release will follow. According to Poco India director Anuj Sharma, “the reason for the limited release is to monitor if any possible network or app that’s not part of our test case behaves different from intended”.

The first sale for the Chinese company’s top of the line device will take place on July 7 at 12 noon local time on the Indian Mi.com website. Rumor: the new MacBook Pros will use the M1X chipset, new MacBook Air coming in 2022 with M2

New MacBook Pros are reportedly all set to launch later this year and they will be powered by the Apple M1X chipset, says @Dylandkt. Next year Apple will refresh the MacBook Air with a complete redesign and the M2 chipset, which will be less powerful.

The M1X will be fabbed on TSMC’s N5P process, a refined version of the 5 nm node used for the current M1. The chip will most likely use the same core architecture as the M1, namely Firestorm and Icestorm cores that are also found in the A14.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 will have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Buds2 were not going to have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), at least that’s what the early rumors said. Now leakster Ice Universe provides evidence to the contrary.

The Buds2 will support ANC as can be seen in the screenshot below. Currently, only the Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds Live have active cancellation, while the Buds and Buds+ relied on just passive noise suppression.

Vivo V21 SE appears on AI Benchmark with Snapdragon 720G

With the vivo V21 5G, V21e and V21e 5G already official the company might be looking to add a fourt member to the V21 family dubbed V21 SE.

The handset popped up on Geekbench about two months ago running the Snapdragon 720G and we now have another confirmation of its progressing development. It comes in the form of a AI Benchmark listing revealing 8GB of RAM and Android 11.
