It feels like foldable phones are on the brink of becoming mainstream. It probably won’t happen this year as prices are still too high (and the chip shortage isn’t helping), but foldable may become the default form factor for a flagship in the next couple of years, while rigid phones get relegated to the mid-range.

Weekly poll results: the independent Honor is off to a good start with the Honor 50 series

Last week’s poll shows that Honor’s independent life is off to a good start – 65% of participants voted in favor of the three Honor 50 series modes. Or should we say two of the models.

The Honor 50 Pro emerged as the clear favorite with 100W fast charging, large 6.72” display and an ultrawide selfie camera. At least those are the advantages it holds over its siblings, which share features like the 108MP main and 8MP ultrawide cameras on the back.

Oppo Band Style Review

Oppo is mainly known as a smartphone brand, but the company’s product portfolio includes wireless earphones, smart TVs, and smartwatches as well. Oppo also launched its first smartband last year, called the Oppo Band, followed by a facelift version called the Oppo Band Style.

Telegram adds group video calls and animated backgrounds

Telegram has announced a couple of significant updates to its messaging client across different platform. The first is a pretty significant upgrade to video calling and the other is to the UI and design.

The video calling side of things in Telegram is getting lots of new changes, many of which seem inspired by Apple’s updates to FaceTime during WWDC 2021.
