Instagram has started testing creating and publishing posts on desktop. The feature was spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra, who shared screenshots on Twitter, revealing users will have pretty much the same control over photos and their appearance in the News Feed.

TCL teases an affordable 5G phone at the MWC, there’s a 5G tablet in the works too

Last year TCL unveiled the TCL 10 5G, a €400 5G phone. Earlier this year the company unveiled the TCL 20 5G, a €300 5G phone. Now the company is going around the MWC dropping hints of new 5G models coming in September, one of which will bring the minimum price even lower.

Stefan Streit, the GM of Global Marketing at TCL Communication, kept the price a secret, but €200 seems to be the target. Given the proliferation of mid-range 5G chipsets, this price target should be easy enough to achieve.

Android apps on Windows 11 will work with both Intel and AMD chips

One of the biggest new features of Windows 11 is the promised ability to run Android apps.

In order to get those apps you will need to install the Amazon app store through the Windows store. That’s when Intel Bridge kicks in – a run-time post compiler, which translates non-X86 apps to run on that architecture. It was initially unclear if Intel made the compiler work with only Intel hardware, but it turns out that’s not the case.

In a statement to The Verge, Intel has confirmed that Intel Bridge will “support all x86 platforms (including AMD platforms)”.

Samsung Galaxy A20 gets Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in India

The Samsung Galaxy A20 announced back in March 2019 with Android 9 Pie received Android 11-based One UI 3.1 a couple of weeks ago. The update was released in Russia, but the rollout has now expanded to India.

The Android 11 update for Galaxy A20 in India comes with firmware version A205FXXUACUF3. It includes the June 2021 Android security patch, and you can expect a redesigned UI with the usual Android 11 goodies such as chat bubbles and one-time permissions.

Pixel Buds A-Series hands-on

Google just launched its Pixel Buds A-Series, a more economical version of the Pixel Buds that launched with the Pixel 5 in 2020. The result is a very similar product down to the weight, size, fit, sound, and hardware, but with a couple of key differences and a much lower $99 price point.
