Honor patents Magic Flip, Fold and Flex names as it looks to join the foldable race

Honor is proudly going forward as an independent company, and last week we saw the first flagship series since the company separated from Huawei. It is also moving towards foldable devices after patenting at least three names – Magic Flip, Magic Fold, Magic Flex.

The trade names does not necessarily mean Honor will launch three phones, nor they give a specific timeline of a potential foldable arrival. However, the company is certainly evaluating its options and it seems reasonable to expect from it to to adopt the new form factor sooner rather than later.

Facebook Live Audio Rooms and Podcasts launch in the US

Facebook’s alternative to Clubhouse has started rolling out in the US to some iOS users. It’s called Live Audio Rooms and also comes with Podcasts. Both features are part of the Facebook platform and for now, are limited to just select public figures and groups.

If the Facebook group is public, anyone can drop in and listen but private groups allows only members to join. Up to 50 speakers are supported but the number of listeners is unlimited. Group moderators and admins can choose who can create a Live Audio Room and who can join as a speaker.

Qualcomm is planning to build a new Snapdragon 888 chipset without the 5G connectivity. It will be a new platform with a model number SM8450 (the current 888 is SM8350). The Galaxy S21 and S21+ use basically the same camera hardware as their predecessors in the S20 generation. This will not repeat for the S22 generation as Samsung will change its philosophy for next year’s models, according to leakster Tron.

The S20/S21 cameras featured a main 12 MP module with large pixels and a 64 MP module for zooming in. The large pixels on the main cam enabled high-quality night shots, while the high-res module offered the option of full resolution shots without zoom as well as recording 8K videos.

The Red Magic line from nubia has provided some stellar hardware for considerably less gaming phones from the likes of Asus and Lenovo. The latest addition is the Red Magic 6R and we’re bringing our video review of the device for your attention.

With its 6.67-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, the Red Magic 6R is in the upper echelon of the refresh rate game but still falls short of its predecessor’s 165Hz panel. It’s still an excellent panel with good colors which goes up to 770 nits of brightness.
