Samsung announces virtual MWC event, teasing new devices

Samsung canceled in-person attendance of MWC 2021, committing only to an online presence. Today the company made it official and set the time and date for the Samsung Galaxy MWC Virtual Event, which will be held on June 28 at 17:15 UTC. It will be livestreamed on YouTube, so everyone can attend.

The press release announcing the event is pretty terse – the company will will talk about the “ever-expanding Galaxy device ecosystem” and will present a “vision for the future of smartwatches”. What Galaxy devices?

The OnePlus Nord CE now shipping in Europe, don’t miss our video review

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G is now available in Europe and can be bought from your local OnePlus.com website. The stores only carry the 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB versions, which cost €330/£300 and €400/£370, respectively.

The cheapest version, the €300 6/128 GB model, is listed as “not available” (or not listed at all in the case of the UK and Irish sites), so that is probably coming at a later date.

Amazon Prime Day deal roundup – Apple, Samsung, Realme and others

Amazon’s big Prime Day sale is on and there are some good 30 hours left to go. There are all sorts of deals and some of them go by fast, so we’ll round up the ones we have noticed so far.

However keep in mind that we’re always updating our Deals page with the latest offers.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra pops up on Geekbench running Android 12

The Mi 11 Ultra is a fairly recent release from Xiaomi and the phone initially launched with Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 on top. No official information regarding the beta version of Android 12 has been disclosed so it’s interesting to see the handset making an appearance on Geekbench 5 with the latest Android OS.

Mind you, this is the global version of the device given the model number listed on Geekbench – M2102K1G. This is probably the first sighting of the Mi 11 Ultra running Android 12 and suggests that Xiaomi will soon have more to share about the update.

ZTE Axon 30 with second-gen UD camera to launch on July 22

Last week, Chinese display maker Visionnox teased its second-generation under-display camera which is expected to debut on the ZTE Axon 30 and now tipster Digital Chat Station is hinting that the phone could be announced on July 22. The info comes from a video shared by ZTE President Ni Fei who disclosed that the company is looking to launch an all-new device in the coming month.

Realme will launch the first Dizo products on July 1

Last month Realme unveiled its AIoT brand, Dizo, which will focus on smart home gadgets, accessories, entertainment products and more. Dizo is almost ready for its first product launch, which is coming on July 1 (Thursday next week).
