Realme tablet incoming as CMO polls the internet on its name

Earlier today Realme teased its first laptop and now the brand’s CMO – Francis Wong went ahead and revealed it will be joined by a Realme tablet. Wong posted a poll on his Twitter account to let you vote on the naming of the slate with two options available – Realme Pad and Realme Tab.

Gionee unveiled a new smartwatch for India – the StylFit GSW7. It has a round body, unlike the rectangular GSW5, and is less bulky than the Gionee Watch 4. It runs proprietary software called Gbuddy, which talks the to corresponding Gbuddy Smart Life app available for Android (5.1+) and iOS (9.0+).

Understanding lossless, high-resolution, and spatial audio

Apple recently announced its lossless audio option for the Apple Music streaming service. Additionally, the company will also be offering lossless high-resolution audio as well as surround sound audio using Dolby Atmos encoding.

Apple is now the latest member of the lossless club, joining services such as Tidal, Amazon, Deezer, and Quobuz, who have been offering this option for a while. Even Spotify, which is actually yet to start rolling out lossless audio to its subscribers, beat Apple to the punch by announcing its own Spotify HiFi service a few months earlier.

Realme teases its first laptop

Realme has been working a lot on diversifying its portfolio, and apparently laptops are going to become the next addition. Madhav Sheth, CEO for India and Europe, has posted a photo on Twitter, showing a laptop peeking out of a thin envelope or bag, alongside a binary message that says “Hello World” when decoded.

Samsung SmartThings app gets UI overhaul

The SmartThings app from Samsung has received an entirely redesigned UI with the latest update. Made with customer feedback in mind, the latest build brings a lighter look more in line with the Windows version of the app. The new update is already being pushed on Android phones while the iOS update is coming later.
