Honor introduces Band 6 to India, sales begin on June 14

The Honor Band 6 global sales began back in late March, and today the wearable reaches India as well. The brand announced the launch date for the wristband, as well as its price – it will start selling on June 14 for INR3,999 (that’s about $55/€45).

The Honor Band 6 is definitely not a new device – it arrived in China back in November 2020 but due to the change in ownership and the brand splitting from Huawei, global operations were halted for several months. Eventually, the wearable escaped the domestic scene and we even got to review it.

We handled the Black variant, but Honor…

Infinix is working on a 160W fast-charging adapter

Infinix is working on a 160W fast-charging adapter

Infinix is a Hong Kong-based smartphone company that focuses on developing markets like Nigeria, Egypt, and Indonesia. The manufacturer is know for delivering very solid specs for the price rather than groundbreaking industry innovations, but this might change. XDA-Developers shared a photo of an upcoming Infinix-branded 160W fast charger, intended for use in a future mobile phone.

The adapter on the photo sure looks huge, as is to be expected for a brick this powerful. It’s unclear when we’ll see a phone ready to take advantage of it but it can’t be long now.

An alternative…

Google Pixel’s June Feature Drop brings Astrophotography time lapse, Heads Up, Locked Photos Folder

Google’s latest Feature drop of Pixel smartphones is now rolling out with some new features and market expansion of already existing features. Last week, we reported that Astrophotography would receive a “time lapse” feature and this update includes it.

Astrophotography will now capture a short timelapse of the exposure when shooting a still image with the mode. Basically, every long-exposure capture of the sky that you perform on the Pixel will also be made into a short video of the exposure time, much like Google Photos does with Motion Photos. There isn’t a dedicated…

vivo Y53s 5G launches with Snapdragon 480 and 90 Hz screen

The vivo Y53 was released in March 2017, and today the company just launched the Y53s 5G on the Chinese market. We’re a bit baffled by the naming choice here, this definitely can’t in any way be a straight-up successor of a phone from four years ago, so then why not use some other numbers?

Alas, it is what it is. Oh, just what is it, you ask? Most likely, a direct successor to the Y52s from last year in fact.

The vivo Y53s 5G is a new smartphone that has a 6.58-inch 90 Hz FHD+ IPS LCD touchscreen, the Snapdragon 480 5G chipset at the helm, aided by 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of…
