BOE demonstrates its sliding OLED display at ICDT conference

Chinese display maker BOE capped off a busy event showcase at the International Display Technology Conference (ICDT 2021) held in Beijing. Among the brand’s latest developments we got to see the first flexible sliding OLED display.

Details on the actual panel are scarce with BOE revealing an outer bending rate radius of 4mm and a dynamic scrolling frequency. The panel appears to have no visible crease while expanding which is the major advantage over current foldable displays.

AnTuTu May rankings: S888 dominates the flagship segment, S780 impresses in the mid-range

AnTuTu recently switched to version 9 of its benchmark, which features additional GPU tests (including Vulkan tests), the CPU tests were redesigned, memory, storage and UX tests have been changed too.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) announced over two years ago with Android 9 Pie is receiving a new update that brings Android 11-based One UI Core 3.1, which is a lighter version of One UI 3.1.

Realme C21Y gets NBTC certified

Last week, an unknown Realme smartphone with model code RMX3261 was spotted on FCC, and we now learn it is the Realme C21Y as the smartphone has been certified by Thailand’s NBTC.

The Thai certifying authority doesn’t divulge any specifications of the C21Y other than telling us it’s a 4G smartphone. However, the phone’s FCC listing included its design sketches which revealed the smartphone will pack a notched display and sport a square-shaped camera island on the back housing three cameras.
