Huawei P50 teased with latest invite for the HarmonyOS event on June 2

Huawei has been using the invites for its HarmonyOS event to tease upcoming products – first the Huawei Watch 3, then a new M-Pencil for the upcoming MatePad Pro 2 tablet and now the Huawei P50 series. The latest invite shows two circular camera bumps seen at an angle.

We have seen these bumps several times before in leaked renders and hands-on photos. They are supposed to house an impressive Sony IMX800 1” sensor, however, the trade sanctions and the delays they brought have caused Huawei to lose some of its thunder.

It seems Oppo is finally ready to offer a successor to last year’s Oppo Watch. The brand took to Weibo to tease its Watch 2 series. The official teaser hints at longer battery life and an announcement scheduled for the second half of this year.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2, which are reportedly in mass production as we speak, have just undergone the FCC trial, further confirming they are ready for the store shelves.

The FCC listing gives us a full glimpse of the buds themselves, as well as a detailed look at the case’s specs. Despite coming in as replacements for the Galaxy Buds/Buds+ line of TWS earbuds, the Galaxy Buds2 look more akin to Galaxy Buds Pro with their bulbous outer shell and the lack of wingtips.

Asus releases updates for the Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip, ROG Phone 5 and 3, Zenfone 6 too

Asus has been doing a lot of work on its new flagships in the weeks after their release – there’s yet another update for the new Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip. A few other phones got some attention as well, with a fairly substantial update for the ROG Phone 5.

The new flagships got another bump in camera quality, this time paired with a call quality improvement. The smaller Zenfone 8 also gained VoLTE support for three European carriers. The 8 is now up to firmware version 30.11.51.50, the 8 Flip went up to 30.11.55.43.

Honor becomes a member of GSMA

Honor begun its journey as an independent company at the end of last year and it made another step towards regaining its spot as a major manufacturer.

The Chinese company has announced its membership of the GSMA – that’s the GSM Association that represents major telecoms, phone makers, equipment providers and internet service companies.

In a press release, Honor stated it “plans to further strengthen its strategic partnerships with other members of the GSMA.” The company’s role within the association will be “to create new opportunities to empower the mobile communications industry…

OnePlus Nord CE 5G India launch detailed, open sales start on June 16

We already got confirmation that OnePlus will unveil its Nord CE (Core Edition) on June 10. Now, the phone’s landing page on OnePlus India has revealed the launch date event is scheduled to begin at 7PM local time.
