OnePlus confirms Nord2 name, launch might come before September 30

The original OnePlus Nord was announced in July of last year and went on to become available in August. We’re now at the end of May, and there haven’t been many leaks about a successor, but that doesn’t mean it’s not coming.

In fact, OnePlus itself confirmed the Nord2 name, on its own website, in the FAQ section of a new Stadia Premiere Edition promo that it’s running in the UK, Germany, and France.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G gets priced in Europe

The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G still hasn’t become official, but it definitely can’t be long now. The phone’s name implies that this is going to be Samsung’s cheapest 5G handset yet, and today a supposed retailer listing from the EU has pretty much confirmed that unsurprising fact.

The phone is listed at €185 sans VAT, which strongly implies a final price, inclusive of the tax, around €229, depending on country (since VAT is different in each one). Perhaps in some nations we might even see it go lower, but it’s very unlikely the price will be below €199.

Panasonic today announced an updated version of its venerable LUMIX GH5 camera. The new GH5 Mark II is a relatively modest upgrade over its predecessor but if you look at the other thing Panasonic announced today, you’d realize it’s just a stop-gap.

Google started developing its Fuchsia OS as an open-source operating system for many platforms back in 2016, but for the longest time there haven’t been any news abut it.

Well, Fuchsia is now the official OS for Google’s original Nest Hub, formerly the Google Home Hub. The team behind Fuchsia is replacing the Nest Hub’s limited Cast OS with Fuchsia, but on the surface the device should look and behave as before.

The move from Cast OS to Fuchsia OS will take several months and begin with users in the Preview Program first.
