Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra reach 3 million cumulative sales worldwide

Xiaomi is proudly announcing that its Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra have reached over 3 million cumulative sales worldwide. Undoubtedly, if we would add in the other members of the Mi 11 family, the number would be even bigger.

Furthermore, Xiaomi boasts that the aforementioned trio took up the most market share for Android phones in China in their respective price bracket of CNY 4,000 – 6,000. This statistic allegedly comes from third party agencies and it’s valid for the first quarter of the year.

Although Xiaomi isn’t saying it, we’re assuming a lot of those 3 million units…

Clubhouse now available globally on Android

Clubhouse has arrived on Android. The company, who had initially started a slow rollout, has announced that it is now available globally.

Dear everyone, everywhere: @Android is officially live across the globe! ❤️👋— Clubhouse (@Clubhouse) May 21, 2021

The app works pretty much exactly the same as it does on iOS. This means you still need an invite from someone to be able to start using the service but the good thing is that all existing users get multiple invites to give out so there’s plenty of those going around at the moment.

Asus Zenfone 8 Flip disassembly video shows few changes from last year’s model

Asus Zenfone 8 Flip disassembly video shows few changes from last year’s model

There’s a pair of new Zenfones from Asus and PBKreviews decided to give us a look at the larger Flip model’s insides. There are hardly any hardware differences (check out the Zenfone 7 Pro teardown here) from last year’s model which isn’t surprising. It’s still cool to see just how Asus managed to cram the flip-up camera module among all the other components.

Once the glass back and protective cover are removed, we can see the flip up camera surrounded by the motherboard. The 5,000mAh battery is held in place with several connectors while the loudspeaker assembly occupies the bottom…

WhatsApp will soon let you migrate chat history to another phone number

As of now, WhatsApp is quite restrictive when it comes to chat history syncing, only supporting a single phone number rather than an account. Well, according to a reputable source, Facebook is working on making your life easier when changing phones.

Screenshots of the supposed features

WhatsApp’s developers’ team will soon let you migrate chat history from one phone number to another, which is pretty useful for people owning two phones or who plan on changing their phone number. They also seem to be working on cross-platform sync because right now, you can’t transfer your chat…

Microsoft Office for Android gains dark mode

Microsoft Office for Android gains dark mode

Most paper is white, so naturally digital document editors show black text on a white background. But paper reflects light and screens emit light – many phone users find it easier on the eyes if they read white text on a black background instead.

And many of them have apparently been asking Microsoft to enable Dark mode in the Office app for Android. Today their wish is granted, they can now view and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents without bright light blasting their eyes.

The update is rolling out today. Once you install it, you can tap on the Profile icon in the Home…

Coolpad is coming back, will unveil the Cool 20 next week

Remember Coolpad? The company has been pretty quiet, releasing only a handful of phones over the last twelve months. But according to its Weibo account it is ready to wake up from slumber – it will unveil a new phone on May 25 (Tuesday).

That phone will be called the Cool 20 and you can check out an image of its back below. Coolpad rejects plastic builds that are quick to scratch up and promises a more premium and durable glass sandwich design (presumably with a metal frame in between, though it doesn’t specify).
