Samsung Galaxy A52, A52 5G get camera improvements and video call effects with new updates

Samsung has released new software updates for the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G, which bump up the Android security patch level on both smartphones to May 2021.

More importantly, the new builds improve camera performance while also bringing video call effects to the Galaxy A52 duo. What they do is let you blur the background or set a custom background in video calls made via third-party apps such as Zoom, Google Duo, and Microsoft Teams.

ZTE nubia Red Magic 6R launch scheduled for May 27

A new gaming phone from nubia, called Red Magic 6R, will be introduced on May 27. The announcement appeared on Weibo, and this is the first time nubia is going to release an R model.

Rumors are suggesting this is the nubia NX666J smartphone that was certified on TENAA back in April. Asus Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip are officially coming to India

We knew it was likely, now it is official – the Asus Zenfone 8 is headed to India. Asus has launched a landing page for the phone and while the page just calls it “new phone”, we think it will trade under the “8z” name.

The reason previous Zenfones adopted the “z” naming is that an Indian company owns the Zen and ZenMobile trademarks, which lead a local court to bar Asus from using the Zenfone name as it could confuse consumers.

Oppo Reno5 A launched in Japan with Snapdragon 765G and 90Hz display

The Reno series from Oppo keeps growing and the latest member is the Reno 5 A which just debuted in Japan. It shares quite a few similarities to the Reno5 5G though with some display changes and a lighter battery capacity and slower charging speeds.
