iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max to have 120 Hz AMOLED screens made by Samsung

We’ve been hearing the fact that iPhones are going 120 Hz this year for a while now, and today a new report from Korea basically confirms that, while adding some intriguing new info.

Only the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are said to get the new LTPO AMOLED screens with 120 Hz refresh rates, and these will be made exclusively by Samsung Display. Not just that, but Samsung Electro-Mechanics will supply the rigid flexible printed circuit boards (RFPCB).

A tipster just shared a mockup image of all the colors OnePlus was considering for the OnePlus 9 series but got axed in the end. We say mockups because the colors shown below are based on live images, which for privacy reasons, were not shown.

The colors in question are Matte White, Glossy Black, Glossy Silver and Glossy Green. The tipster doesn’t say which ones were considered for the vanilla and which ones were assigned to the Pro.

A Realme laptop might be in the works, launches in Q3 2021

Realme first joked about launching a new laptop for April Fools’ Day, but we now have every reason to believe that the company might be serious about it. Realme published a questionnaire asking about users’ gender, age, annual income, what kind of phone they are using at the moment and if they are satisfied with it. Interestingly enough, there were a couple of notebook-related questions in there as well, hence the headline in the community forum post.

Motorola phones codenamed Berlin and Berlin NA cameras revealed

A massive leak revealed the other day that Motorola is preparing to launch four Edge-branded smartphones. They are internally called Sierra, Berlin, Berlin NA and Kyoto and now the original source, Technik News, gives us a bit more detail around the Berlin and Berlin NA cameras.

Both handsets are supposed to feature 32MP OmniVision OV32B40 selfie cameras, while the main camera on the back will use the 108MP S4KHM2 for the vanilla Berlin and the 108MP S5KHM2 sensor will make its way to the Berlin NA. Both sensors are supplied by Samsung.

vivo Y52s gets a Snapdragon 480 chipset and a new name

The vivo Y52s smartphone has been around for about six months, and today it is getting a new version, called vivo Y52s (t1 Edition). The device was launched silently, so we have no idea what is going on with the name, but we do know what is the difference – the t1 comes with a Snapdragon 480 chipset.

Apple Watch 8 to offer blood pressure, blood sugar and alcohol levels

In its most recent report, the The Telegraph stated that the Apple Watch 8 is about to gain a big hardware upgrade. It will likely be able to measure your glucose and alcohol levels as well as your blood pressure.

The publication found some solid evidence in SEC (the US Securities and Exchange Commission) that Apple uses Rockley Photonics as its main supplier for health-tracking sensors. And the CEO of the said company has talked about these sensors in the past, indicating that consumer-ready products will start to pop up in 2022.
