Redmi K50 certified with 67W charging
While we wait for the Redmi K50 series announcement which is allegedly coming in February, China’s 3C agency went ahead and listed the vanilla K50 model on its database. The listing shows a Xiaomi device with the 2201116SC model number and 67W charging which is still plenty fast but nowhere near the 120W fast charging capabilities of the K50 Pro model. We don’t get any other specs for the K50 at this point.

Samsung rolled out the Android 12-based One UI 4 stable update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G last week, which was released for the S20 FE 4G Snapdragon variant yesterday and is now rolling for the S20 FE 4G Exynos 990 model.
Xiaomi India had an event today, revealing “India’s fastest charging smartphone” – the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge which tops up at up to 120W. It was accompanied by the Xiaomi 11i which is basically the same smartphone, but with a bigger battery and “just” 67W charging rate.

It appears to be an incremental upgrade over the Red Magic 6s series. The device with model number NX679J will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and a 64MP main camera on the rear.
