The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is truly deserving of its superlative name. It’s hard to pick which is the the phone’s greatest strength, but it may well be the camera.

Xiaomi kicked off its Mega launch event in China earlier today and the first device to be announced on stage was the Mi 11 Pro. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun described the phone as the “King of Android” and it certainly boasts some top-notch specs.

The front is dominated by a 6.81-inch quad curved AMOLED display QHD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision. The panel is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus and comes with a pre-applied quad curved screen protector. The smartphone camera chart of DxOMark has a new king – the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. It outscored the previous top leader (Huawei Mate 40 Pro+) by 4 points. With a total score of 143 points, the new flagship also beats its predecessor, the Mi 10 Ultra, by 10 points.

The DxOMark team has finished the test procedures and rated all test cases. However, the team didn’t have time to finish writing the review, so that will be published later on. For now we can look at the score breakdown.

Caviar customizes iPhone 12 Pro (Max) with designs inspired by Mortal Kombat characters

There’s a new Mortal Combat movie on the way, it will hit theaters and HBO Max on April 16. This inspired Caviar to create a trio of customized iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max phones based on three characters from the movie and the game that it is based on.

First up is one of the most recognizable characters of the series, Scorpion. The back features Scorpion’s signature weapon, made out of strong titanium and covered with gold-colored PVD coating. There are also decorative inserts made out of fiberglass (G-10 laminate) and epoxy resin.

Last week we saw the debut of iQOO’s Z3 with its 120Hz display, Snapdragon 768G chipset and 55W charging. According to Chinses tipster Arsenal we’re also in for a Pro model and it’s expected to debut with Qualcomm’s new Snapdrgaon 780G chipset and a 144Hz IPS LCD.

Xiaomi introduced the Mi 11 smartphone in the final days of 2020, but the flagship lineup is a long way from being complete. Today we expect the rest of the family to be introduced at the event aptly dubbed mega launch, and scheduled to begin at 11:30 GMT.
