Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G coming to India next week

Samsung’s 4G Galaxy S20 FE came to India back in October of last year but the Snapdragon 865-powered 5G model has yet to grace the local market. In a turn of events Samsung has now officially confirmed the S20 FE 5G is going on sale in India starting next Tuesday, March 30.

Motorola Moto G50 debuts with 5G and a 90Hz 720p display

When you looked at the Moto G10 did you think “this would be awesome if it had 5G and cost €250 instead of €150”? Well, maybe you didn’t, but someone at Motorola HQ clearly did. This may not the introduction the Moto G50 would have wanted, but it is the one it deserves.

It is notable because it could become the first phone with the Snapdragon 480 5G chipset to launch in Europe. This 8nm chip is better than the S460 that powers the G10 thanks to a pair of Cortex-A76 derived cores (replacing four A73-based cores). And it has a better GPU.

Bang & Olufsen unveiled the Beoplay HX, a pair of premium over-ear headphones with Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) and a long-lasting battery. With ANC on, they can last 35 hours on a single charge (with a Bluetooth connection). Turning ANC off stretches playtime to 40 hours.

The HX are designed to be worn for extended periods. The headband has a relief comfort zone in the center. The earcups feature soft lambskin draped over memory foam. This is not the lightest pair of headphones, however, tipping the scales at 285g.

The new Snapdragon 780G is a 5nm mid-range chip with flagship-grade modem

Qualcomm just unveiled what could be the premium mid-range chipset to beat – the Snapdragon 780G is one the first chipsets in its class to be built on a 5nm node (following the Exynos 1080) and it’s basically a lite version of the 888 powerhouse.

The Kryo 670 CPU is described with a vague “40% performance uplift” without a point of reference. The 600-series cores should be derived from the latest Cortex-A78, while the 768G chipset used A76-based cores, which sounds to be on target for a 40% performance increase.
