Next version of OriginOS arriving on December 9, to be called Ocean
The OriginOS is vivo’s platform of choice for its Chinese phones and it’s about to get a new version. The new release is coming on December 9 and it will be called OriginOS Ocean. According to reports at least a dozen phones will be in the first wave to receive it.
The new OriginOS (which is technically a UI on top of Android’s kernel) will bring improved features for mobile use, as well as easy cross-device navigation with PC and file transfers. And while we await more details from vivo about its first tablet, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the company will launch a tablet with the Snapdragon 870 SoC at the helm. Although it’s unclear if they are referring to vivo’s first tablet or a different model.
